Description:
The Togo Sofa, designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset in 1973, is one of the most iconic pieces of modern furniture design.
At a time when traditional furniture felt rigid and outdated, Ducaroy used new foam technology to create something revolutionary: a sofa made entirely of foam, without any hard internal structure.
Its low, laid-back profile, pleated fabric, and soft, crumpled shape embodied the relaxed spirit of the 1970s — and offered unmatched comfort.
Though its bold look was initially controversial, the Togo soon became a cultural icon, appearing in films, luxury homes, and design museums around the world.
Even today, more than 50 years later, the Togo remains a symbol of informal luxury, innovation, and timeless comfort— proving that great design never goes out of style.
